Trade Minister holds meetings with senior officials participating in St. Petersburg Economic Forum
Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir held a set of intensified one-on-one, multilateral and business meetings on the sidelines of his participation in the 26th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which runs between June 14-17.
The minister met with Sergey Dankvert, the Head of the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision, and held key talks on the registration procedures of some Egyptian and Russian firms in order to enhance trade exchange in agricultural products, meat and dairy products, according to a statement issued by the Trade and Industry Ministry on Saturday.
During a meeting with Trade Minister of the Eurasian Economic Commission Andrey Slepnev, Samir discussed the updates of negotiations on the free trade agreement between Egypt and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), which comprises Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan, the statement said.
