Volume of trade exchange bet. Egypt & Norway record $217M during 2024

Egyptian exports to Norway rose to $15 million during this period, up from $11 million in 2023.

The trade exchange between Egypt and Norway recorded $217 million in the first 10 months of 2024, an increase from $204 million during the same period in 2023, according to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).


Egyptian exports to Norway rose to $15 million during this period, up from $11 million in 2023.


Key export items included food industry waste and animal feed valued at $7 million, vegetables and fruits at $4 million, and $1 million each for carpets and floor coverings and plastics and plastic products.
















On the import side, Egypt received goods worth $202 million from Norway in the first 10 months of 2024, compared to $193 million in 2023.


Major imports included fish, crustaceans, and mollusks valued at $65 million, metal ores at $38 million, iron and steel at $16 million, fertilizers at $15 million, and wood and wood products at $11 million.


Norwegian investments in Egypt experienced a significant surge, reaching $26.8 million during the fiscal year 2022/2023, compared to $3.9 million in 2021/2022.


This growth reflects the strengthening economic partnership between the two countries, highlighting increased trade exchanges and expanding investment opportunities in various sectors.
