06.11.2013 - 07.11.2013 | Cairo
The Sustainable Building Conference 2013 focuses on democratic transition and sustainable communities in November.
Ain Shams University – Department of Urban Planning, the German University in Cairo – Architecture and Urban Design, together with the international partner the State Academy of Art and Design Stuttgart are pleased to invite you to submit papers to the SB13 Cairo Conference.
SB13 Cairo is part of the Regional Sustainable Building (SB) conference series. Due to Egypt's prime and strategic central location; SB13 Cairo adds a comprehensive dimension to the World Conference SB14 to take place in Barcelona in 2014.
The new era of democratic transition in Egypt raises aspirations and expectations vis-à-vis sustainable communities. This requires revolutionising the way of thinking and planning to proactively address local, national, and regional challenges taking into consideration the international perspective. Nonetheless, the global climate change phenomenon and the sustainable building agenda represent a major challenge not only for developing sustainable communities, but more importantly, managing the development of the socio-economic landscape.
SB13 Cairo is a timely opportunity to bring scholars, practitioners, and industry professionals together to share knowledge, experiences, and seek practical solutions for the benefit of current as well as future generations.
