08.09.2015 - 10.09.2015 | Conference
Raising Awareness of and Finding Solutions to the Region's Top Cyber Security Challenges in the region's IT hub, Egypt.
As Egypt leads the way in terms of cyber security legislation, the country is emerging as a major regional market for network security products and with more new laws on the way soon, this highly active sector is advancing quickly.
Cyber security is a rapidly expanding issue both worldwide and in Egypt. The global cost of cyber crime is estimated as being between $300 billion and $1 trillion, claiming a total of 556 million victims every year. Cyber security is of particular interest to Egypt, in a country where the number of people connected to the internet rose at a rate of 3.9% per month in 2014, with a 7.2% monthly increase per month in the number of people with a mobile internet connection.
Having recently appointed a high council for cyber security and with a draft cybercrime law recently approved by the cabinet of ministers, as well as draft cybersecurity and private data protection laws having recently been prepared by lawmakers, this is a sector developing rapidly in Egypt. Egypt's financial sector is developing quickly too, with a recent law on online security standards mandating action from Egypt's banking sector.
This summit will gather together the region's leaders in information security and IT strategy to devise solutions to the rising challenges of information security. Join the landmark conference to hear leading experts discuss solutions to the most pressing challenges of information security and IT strategy such as data loss prevention, DDoS attacks, anti-malware strategies and Advanced Persistent Threats.
