Senior Principal Engineer needed for Johnson & Johnson

The responsibilities for the Senior Principal Engineer include:

Leads the front end concept design process including all aspects of design (Arch, Mech, Elec, Plumb, etc).
Works with Alliance Design firms to cultivate innovative, effective and streamlined design delivery methods.
Leads the front end concept design process including all aspects of design (Arch, Mech, Elec, Plumb, etc).
Works with Project Management and Real Estate groups to deploy standard Office Project Delivery model.
Works with Workplace COE and Regional delivery teams with respect to workplace design and Amenity and Service model strategies
Works with various J&J groups to develop, and maintain worldwide J&J engineering standards and guidelines for Offices and office systems
Develops a standard approach to leverage landlord provided infrastructure
Manages the overall Office platform and SDP(s) he/she is responsible for
Leads Community of Practice in own area(s) of expertise
Serves as a focal point for industry and J&J internal engineering expertise in facility
construction
Builds networks and maintains extensive contacts
Establishes working relationships with the IT organization to ensure integration of IT systems into Office buildings.
Reviews and analyses complex specifications and engineering packages
Offers standard solutions that increase the speed of project delivery.
Optimizes design, program, processes and/or technical platform to meet current and future needs
Identifies and provides innovative technology strategies in the areas of energy conservation and sustainability
Analyses on needs/requirements to select and engage partners and manages their performance (e.g. A&E firms, suppliers, consultants, etc.)
Interacts with other functional areas (i.e. Security, Procurement, Legal, Facility Management, etc.)
Understands and integrates the requirements of J&J's Project Management, Procurement, Legal, and Safety organizations
Plans and/or verifies, and monitors project and/or program costs and schedules
Facilitates the use of global leveraging of J&J's buying power through standardization and supplier agreements
Provides oversight to lower-level engineers
Provides unbiased solutions that maximize owner value
Makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative
Consults with higher management on business opportunities and potential problems
Observes and promotes all regulatory requirements and notifies any violation or deviation
Complies with all training requirements to perform duties of the job




Qualifications


A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of years related business experience is required.
Project Management skills are preferred.
Ability to operate in and manage multi-geographic/cultural teams is required.
Solid technical background is required.
Experience in managing internal and external engineering teams is required.
Ability to influence internal and external peers and partners is required.
Ability to translate business objectives into engineering solutions is preferred.
Experience working in highly matrixed organization is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills is required.
Business and operations experience preferred.
Previous successful delivery of office projects/programs is required.
Leads the front end concept design process including all aspects of design (Arch, Mech, Elec, Plumb, etc) is required.
