Job Description:
Manage the design process during the execution of design projects across all design stages, including concept design, schematic design, draft final design and construction documents
Manage local design team for addressing all technical issues, reviewing designs, obtaining approvals, etc. for all projects
Develop project management plans, including schedule baselines, project scope baselines, man-hour estimates, quality plans, budgets and risk plans for building design projects
Lead the coordination process to integrate designs at all project stages
Assist in preparation of tender documents, Conditions of Contract, etc.
Manage consultants and ensure deliverables are in accordance with scope, schedule and budget Make sure that quality assurance procedure is applied promptly for all deliverables and make sure that the quality of design deliverables is consistent with high standards
Manage design verification, peer reviews and other quality control activities
Lead design validation and reviews with counterparts and authorities permits, as needed
Provide support during the tender process, including managing bid queries, support in evaluation of bids and support during the negotiation and award process, as needed
Support during the construction stage, as needed, including responding to contractors’ RFIs and solving design conflicts, in coordination with local design team & consultants
Liaise internally to resolve any contractual issues, as needed
Manage changes in project scope, potential risks and contingency plans, as needed
Review & accept the invoices for deliverables, in coordination with control unit manager and local Finance team
Prepare periodic project progress reports, raising major issues to the Director

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Engineering (Civil or Architecture)
PMP certification, is preferred
15+ (all in building construction in a top tier regional / multinational engineering consultancy firm with at least 5 years in real estate industry)
Very Good Command of Arabic and English language, both written and oral.
Primavera, MS office
Knowledge of building and architectural design
Solid knowledge in all aspects of project management
Competent in budget and financial management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Good understanding of quality control and risk management
Excellent communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of stakeholders, including senior management, clients and various
