Microsoft's Imagine Cup to be held in Cairo
The local round of Imagine Cup for 2016 concluded in Cairo this week at the American University in Cairo. The competition is organized by Microsoft for university students who are App and game developers.
3 teams were chosen in the 3 different categories of the competition, Chem team in the games category, Animtractor in the Creative category and Vditory in the community service category.
"Microsoft is working on hosting the Imagine cup competition in Egypt on 28-29 May 2016 at the American University in Cairo" said the Director of Microsoft Egypt Khaled AbdelKader.
The first round for this year was held on 9 April, while the semi-finals were held on April 16th and the 21st witnessed the local finals with participation of 12 Egyptian teams from different universities.
The competition was launched by Microsoft in 2003 to give students all over the world the opportunity to showcase their talents and creativity in developing Apps and games. The only condition is to include Microsoft technology in the design.
The competition has 3 categories creativity, games and community service.
