The country’s largest real estate event – Cityscape – will open its doors to visitors tomorrow, prospective homeowners and investors with leading developers primed to showcase the latest residential, retail, hospitality and commercial projects in Egypt.

Running daily until 7 November at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre (EIEC), the 9th edition of the show is organised with support and patronage from the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, providing a platform for investors and homeowners to take advantage of a wide range of deals and discounts across key projects offered by more than 50 of the country’s most recognised real estate developers.

Event organiser Informa Markets has witnessed a positive response from stakeholders, exhibitors and investors in the build up to the show as the industry demonstrates a positive ‘back to business’ approach to counter the impact of Covid-19 on the market this year.

“By working closely with the venue and government officials, and by employing the Informa AllSecure guidelines – we remain confident in our ability to host a physical Cityscape event in Egypt. One that not only provides the same experience visitors are used to – the largest gathering of real estate prospects and professionals under one roof – but one that also ensures the safe and hygienic environment for everyone taking part,” said Faariss Khalil, Exhibition Manager for Cityscape in Egypt.

City Edge Developments, a leading Egyptian real estate developer, is just one of the developers who will bring a full portfolio of projects and plots of land, suitable for all types of real estate development including residential, commercial and asset management, to the show this year.

Dr. Mohamed El-Mikawi, CEO of City Edge said: “At Cityscape 2020, City Edge will showcase all its projects throughout Egypt, such as “Al Maqsad” in the New Administrative Capital, Mazarin, Zahia and Itapa. We will also offer payment plans with a range of up to ten years for Cityscape visitors which is a first for City Edge projects.”

LA VISTA Developments, which is introducing two projects to the show this year, will also be out in full force.

“We will be launching our first mixed-use project, LA VISTA CITY, which is comprised of stand-alone villas, twin-houses, and townhouses throughout 16 different mini-communities,” said Marketing Director, Ahmed Anwar. “As a mixed-used development, LA VISTA CITY will include a hospital, two international schools, and a sports club.”

The four-day real estate show will also host a number of first-time exhibitors such as leading private property company, Mountain View and Inertia Egypt – a developer of residential and commercial projects. Between the pair, there will be a showcase of developments that span East and West Cairo, the Red Sea Coast and the North Coast.

Developer of LEED certified buildings, Rekaz will also participate for the first time at Cityscape, showcasing the first environmentally friendly commercial building in the New Administrative Capital.

Rekaz launched in 2016 to establish high quality, modern and innovative sustainable projects in the country. It will showcase the Opal business complex, a development extended over 4,000 square metres with a built-up area of 20,000 square metres which will offer 10 floors and 220 units, providing office space, shops, medical clinics, entertainment halls, international cafes and restaurants to the New Administrative Capital.

Engineer Tamer Bakeer, CEO of Rekaz, said: Cityscape is an important event that enables direct communication between a brand and its customers. This year’s even will witness great activity and a large turnout as customers can choose from a variety of projects located in one place. The Egyptian real estate market has already started to witness a remarkable improvement, as potential buyers returned to the market after the brief halt caused by Coronavirus earlier this year.”

Cityscape is organised in accordance with Informa’s AllSecure health and safety standards to assure the safety of all exhibitors and visitors across Informa’s international shows – ensuring Cityscape participants can conduct business and network in a controlled and hygienic setting.
