Dell launches AI initiative with 5 Egyptian universities

Dell Technologies launched an initiative to provide training in 5 Egyptian universities in artificial intelligence.
The initiative is in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and includes workshops for both university professors and students in different topics related to AI and its applications like data science and big data engineering and analysis. The AI courses will be offered for 5 years starting in 2022 and ending in 2026.
The universities that are part of phase 1 are Cairo University, Ain Shams University, the Arab Academy for Science and Technology as well as the American and the German Universities in Cairo.
There will be a competition at the end of every academic year for the top 3 student projects in AI applications. After the initial 5 years, Dell is hoping to expand the program to all Egyptian Universities.
