Egypt considering new wheat exporters

Egypt is currently negotiating with India an exemption of the export ban India imposed a few days ago. The ban came after a heat wave affected the production and caused a severe hike in prices.

Egypt is now considereing importing wheat from Pakistan or Mexico as a replacement plan. However, the talks with India are ongoing.

Egypt had the agreement with India as a replacement to Russia and Ukraine due to the ongoing conflict between them that affected their imports. Egypt is one of the world's largest importers of wheat.
