Egypt has 85 projects to adapt to climate change
The International Cooperation Ministry of Egypt announced it has around 85 projects in its portfolio that aim to mitigate and prepare for the effects of climate change.
These projects have a total cost of about $11.9 billion, as part of Egypt’s plan to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
Minister of International Cooperation Rania El-Mashat, stressed the opportunity of setting up developments funds for facing the effects of climate change. She also discussed these projects with her counterparts in different visits, including her latest visit to London, in which she discussed the importance of taking practical steps towards transitioning to a green economy.
