UK and Egypt discuss green partnership
As Egypt’s COP27 presidency approaches, The Bank of England and the National Bank of Egypt got together to discuss the global climate crisis and its impact on the economy.
This discussion is part of the UK-Egypt Green Partnership that aims to make sure the recommendations of COP26 are applied before COP27.
The British delegation is sharing their expertise on how to analyze and understand the financial effects of climate change through a 3-day workshop. Both banks are part of a network of 116 banks for Greening Financial Systems to share expertise and practices regarding climate change.
