The Presidential Initiative “Bedaya – A New Beginning for Human Development” has emerged as a cornerstone of Egypt's strategy to elevate living standards and promote inclusive growth. Since its inception, the initiative has delivered over 114 million services across a wide range of sectors, reflecting its extensive impact on diverse communities. Over the past four days alone, Bedaya has provided more than 7.3 million services, signaling its relentless momentum in driving human development nationwide.

Social support services, including education grants, marriage assistance, and cash support through Takaful and Karama programs, directly benefited thousands, reinforcing family stability.
Awareness campaigns, particularly those targeting mothers and caregivers, underscored the critical importance of a child’s first 1,000 days, reaching over 46,000 citizens through trained social guides.
Transforming Healthcare Access and AwarenessHealthcare is a significant pillar of Bedaya. Over 5.3 million citizens have received treatment, preventive care, and specialized services through 58 medical convoys. The initiative has taken a proactive stance in addressing public health issues, with door-to-door campaigns focusing on addiction awareness engaging over 10,000 young people.
Coinciding with World Diabetes Day, Bedaya intensified its efforts in the first-phase governorates of the Universal Health Insurance system, offering free early detection services for schoolchildren, glucose monitoring, and educational sessions for teachers, students, and families. Elderly citizens with diabetes were provided with medications and dietary guidance through health facilities and home visits, underscoring the initiative's inclusive approach to healthcare.
Promoting Youth Development and Community EngagementThe initiative places significant emphasis on youth, fostering their development through sports, cultural events, and vocational training. Over 3,400 youth-oriented events have been held, engaging more than 300,000 participants. Cultural activities, including workshops, lectures, and theatrical performances, reached nearly 45,000 participants, while programs promoting museum heritage and archaeological awareness enriched the experiences of over 1,000 attendees.
Interactive workshops focusing on climate change and water conservation educated 2,730 students, aligning with Egypt’s broader environmental objectives.
Economic Empowerment Through Employment and EntrepreneurshipEconomic inclusion remains a cornerstone of Bedaya. The initiative financed 1,450 small, medium, and micro projects, supporting youth and low-income families in building sustainable livelihoods. Seminars on financial inclusion reached 6,000 citizens, while vocational training and professional development programs offered practical skills to participants.
For individuals with disabilities, Bedaya not only provided training but also secured employment opportunities, reflecting its commitment to integrating marginalized groups into the workforce.
Innovations in Digital and Smart GovernanceAs part of Egypt’s digital transformation, Bedaya is advancing smart governance by integrating technology into essential services. Mobile units and evening shifts delivered over 3,300 notarization and document verification services, streamlining citizen interactions with government agencies.
The initiative also conducted awareness sessions about the role of digital technologies in achieving smart justice, engaging over 1,400 participants and fostering trust in Egypt’s evolving legal frameworks.
Fostering Public Health and Agricultural DevelopmentBedaya extends its reach to rural and agricultural communities through veterinary services, benefiting over 151,000 citizens. Initiatives included deworming and vaccination campaigns, poultry treatment, and public health awareness sessions, which collectively improved animal health and agricultural productivity.
Building Resilience Through Social and Professional EducationThrough the Mawada program, Bedaya prepared over 3,500 young individuals for marriage, emphasizing healthy relationships and financial stability. Occupational safety sessions, anti-discrimination workshops, and economic empowerment programs engaged public sector employees, fostering professional growth and workplace inclusivity.
