Mold Expert Phil Fry Reports Record Toxic Mold from Record June, 2015, Rain in IL, IN, MI, MO, & OH
Montrose, MI, July 07, 2015 -- “June, 2015, record rains in many areas of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, and Ohio have caused unprecedented mold growth in many homes and commercial buildings because of flooding into buildings, excessive rain water wicking from the ground upward into concrete floors (and resultantly into floor coverings and walls resting on those wet floors), roof leaks, and very high humidity,” observes Phillip Fry, Certified Environmental Hygienist, Professional Industrial Hygienist, and webmaster since 1999 for the mold education website www.moldinspector.com.
Some of the Midwest cities that were hardest-hit by the excessive June rain are St. Louis, Missouri; Fort Wayne, Indiana; Lima, Van Wert, and Warren, Ohio; and Port Huron, Michigan.
For example, the record 8.92 inch June, 2015, rainfall in Fort Wayne caused humidity levels in a large, local warehouse to frequently exceed 90 percent, with resulting toxic mold growth everywhere inside the warehouse because indoor humidity of 70 percent or higher drives toxic mold growth. Previously, mold growth was not a problem in the warehouse.
To kill the rain-related mold growth in that warehouse, Enviro Upkeep Masters, LLC, just completed on July 6, 2015, while warehouse employees were on their July 4th weekend holiday, several building-wide high output ozone gas treatments, plus spraying and fogging of the entire warehouse and its contents with two different E.P.A.-registered fungicides.
Upkeep Masters, LLC, is already scheduled to remove moldy walls and ceilings and to implement its ten step mold remediation protocol program in a northern Indiana factory, into which excessive rain has entered the building’s office area through roof leaks and siding leaks. The company’s proven mold removal protocol is posted on its website www.upkeepmasters.com.
The company also does mold removal and remediation for single family homes and manufactured homes, like it is presently doing for a double-wide mobile home in New Haven, Indiana.
Although the company does mold inspection, testing, and removal in most areas east of the Mississippi River, the company is most active in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, and Ohio, because the company’s southern Michigan location provides it with easy access to Interstates 69, 70, 75, 90, 94, US 23, plus the Ohio and Indiana turnpikes.
