Aramex reaffirms commitment to Egypt, directs more investments

Aramex invested EGP 183 million in the Egyptian market during the past two years, confirming that Egypt remains a key market for this region.

Aramex , the global logistics and transportation solutions provider, announced that it will inaugurate its new 14,000 square meters logistics and warehousing facility in the industrial complex of the 6th of October City, in August 2014. This facility will bring Aramex Egypt's cumulative warehousing capacity to 106,000 square meters with the option to expand to a total of 134,000 square meters in the near future.
This logistics and warehousing facility is Aramex Egypt's third biggest investment of its kind. The first phase of investments saw the opening of a 30,000 square metre state-of-the-art logistics facility in Cairo, which became fully operational in the first quarter of 2012. The facility now includes a warehouse section solely dedicated to customers from the fashion retail industry.

The second phase witnessed the opening of a 15,000 square metre logistics and warehouse facility in the Borg el Arab area of Alexandria. The facility, operational since January 2013, was built with the option of expanding to a total of 23,000 square meters.
