South Korean investment tops $300m

The head of the Egypt-Korea Business Council has said South Korea’s investments in Egypt hit $ 350 million.

The Egypt State Information Service on Thursday quoted the head of the council Sherif el-Gabaly as saying “the Korean side is very keen on channeling more investments into Egypt, especially in the infrastructure field”.

South Korea was one of the biggest investors in Egypt last year, el-Gabaly said.

He called for establishing a Korean industrial zone in Egypt.
