Revenues of Suez Canal Certificates hit EGP 6 bln
Investment certificates meant to finance a project to extend the Suez Canal have witnessed a very high demand on the first day of their issuance.
The revenues of selling the certificates on the first day hit some EGP 6 billion.
Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CEO) Hisham Ramez said that this record has been achieved within 10 hours despite the electricity outage which has greatly affected work in the banks.
