Naguib Sawiris donates EGP 500,000 to Nubarriya Canal

Business mogul Naguib Sawiris donated EGP 500,000 to Nubarriya Canal as part of the “Adopt a Canal” initiative, the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation reported Tuesday.

According to Minister Hossam Al-Moghazy, the initiative was launched in order to preserve Nile water from pollution and perform maintenance on the canal.

The minister added that the opportunity to participate in the initiative was offered to the private sector and businessmen, and that this opportunity will allow for social participation in the water resources ministry.
