Egypt prepares for business foray into Ethiopia

Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour, Egypt’s minister of Industry and Trade Sunday confirmed that he will be at the head of a business delegation to Ethiopia early next week for an economic forum which will look at further investment in that country. Nour will be accompanied by 50 Egyptian company executives, businessmen, investors and manufacturers to participate in the forum.

The forum will be held on the sidelines of the fifth session of the Egypt-Ethiopia joint ministerial committee in Addis Ababa from 1 to 2 November.

Egypt’s level of investment in Ethiopia has surpassed $2 billion over the past few years, according to the government in Cairo.
