Telecom Egypt expects 5 percent takeover of mobile market

Telecom Egypt CEO Mohamed al-Nawawy Tuesday called for expediting the issuance of the fourth mobile carrier license, which was approved by cabinet in September.The company will start offering its services to subscribers five weeks after acquiring the license without frequencies, he said expecting them to be obtained, when the government offers the fourth-generation frequencies.

He added that the company is ready on the marketing, technical and administrative levels to offer comprehensive telecommunications services nationwide at one time.

The customer service system of the whole company will be developed to include a highly-qualified team.

He said the company will offer a package of services and offers for the current subscribers, expecting to obtain 5 percent of the market of mobile carriers in Egypt.
