Free Zones in Egypt have a market size of 1.6 bln consumers
Minister of Investment Ashraf Salman said on Monday 1/12/2014 that the free zones make Egypt a center for the manufacture and export of certain products that reach a market size of 1.6 billion consumers.
The free zones benefit from the volume of bilateral agreements and free trade agreements between Egypt and other countries, especially the in Africa and the European Union, he noted.
Salman said during a visit to the 10th of Ramadan City that the free zones enjoy a special system that makes it easier for investors for obtaining licenses required to start a business.
He confirmed that these areas are attractive for investors, and can accommodate many of the cluster industries that are integrated with each other. They also contribute to the increase of Egyptian exports growth which positively affect the balance of payments and Egyptian cash reserves.
