Hyundai Verna most sold car in Egypt

The Hyundai Verna was the most sold car in Egypt in January and February after achieving sales of EGP 338m. More than 4,000 cars were sold.

The Verna is considered the cheapest Korean car, and its sales led to the growth of the Korean market in Egypt.

Sales in the Korean automotive market in Egypt amounted to EGP 1.4bn during the first two months of this year, out of the 5bn total automotive sales market in Egypt in the same period.

The Verna sold 11,000 cars out of the total amount of the market sales, which reached 32,000 cars. Moreover, the Korean market occupied 34.4% of the passenger cars market in Egypt.

The Hyundai Verna occupied 12.9% of the automotive market in Egypt, representing almost 37.7% of the market share of Korean cars.
