UAE, Egypt stress streamlining economy for sustainable development

Sherif Ismail, Prime Minister of Egypt has received Dr Sultan Bin Ahmed Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State and accompanying delegation from the Coordination Office of UAE-funded Development Projects in Egypt.

During the meeting, the delegation conveyed the greetings of the UAE leadership to the people of Egypt, stressing that this support comes as part of the deep-rooted strategy founded by the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

The meeting discussed a number of issues including continued efforts to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, and the UAE funded development projects in Egypt and their role in achieving stability and tranquillity for the people of Egypt as well as streamlining the Egyptian economy on sustainable development routes.

The two sides tackled ways to apply the economic recovery plan in Egypt and focused on the role of the private sector in the creation of new jobs and activating the legislation and laws to attract foreign investment and creating special economic zones.

The Egyptian Prime Minister praised the strength of Egyptian-UAE ties, pointing to the deep-rooted relations instilled by the late Sheikh Zayed which have been sustained by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. He also praised the support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces in strengthening the bilateral ties between the two countries.
