Car prices continue to climb in June

A new wave of price hikes in June has affected over 153 models across a number of different brands.

The increase included the German carmakers Opel and BMW, Korea’s Hyundai and Kia, the American company Chevrolet, the French companies Renault and Peugeot, and the Japanese companies Nissan and Mazda.

The automotive market has witnessed dramatic prices increase in recent months, driven by the shortage of hard currency required for importing and the high exchange rate on the informal market.

The market saw changes to the prices of 95 models in recent months; the price of 91 models increased and only four dropped. Daily News Egypt has aggregated the latest price changes for June in most European, Korean, American, Chinese, Japanese, and Asian markets.
