Jordan, Egypt agree to activate customs e-linking project
Egypt and Jordan agreed on facilitating customs clearance procedures by implementing a customs e-linking project between the two countries, Egyptian transportation ministry announced Saturday. The agreement also includes easing the transit of ships and passengers between Nuweiba and Aqaba Ports.
The agreement is part of joint Egyptian-Jordanian efforts to discuss ways of boosting investment and economic cooperation as well as facilitating and simplifying procedures for better flow of goods, passengers, and cargo between both sides.
Egyptian Minister of Transport Galal Saeed has previously conducted extensive meetings with his Jordanian counterpart Yahia Kasabito put a time schedule to start implementing the e-link project as soon as possible.
