Sisi orders securing basic commodities, tightening market control
President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi directed officials Wednesday to secure basic commodities and tighten market controls.
Sisi’s remarks came during his meeting with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli and ministers of defense, housing, justice, supply, tourism, finance and interior, presidential spokesman Bassam Rady said.
The president also stressed the need for continuing efforts to provide basic commodities for citizens at affordable prices and establish a modern and integrated grain storage system.
Sisi further reviewed efforts exerted to rationalize the use of water and improve its quality through establishing water desalination plants throughout the nation.
The president ordered stepping up efforts to attract more foreign investments into the country with the aim of raising growth rates and reducing unemployment and public debt.
