British American Tobacco raises cigarette prices in Egypt
The company raised prices for a pack of Dunhill cigarettes to EGP 49 instead of EGP 47, Dunhill Master Blend cigarettes to EGP 41 and Kent cigarettes to EGP 44 instead of EGP 41.
It also raised prices for a pack of Viceroy and Pall Mall cigarettes to EGP 29 instead of EGP 28.
BAT launched its operations in the Egyptian market in 2001. It is currently one of the main companies in the Egyptian market along Eastern Tobacco Company and Philip Morris.
Egypt’s Eastern Tobacco Company has a market share of about 70 percent, while foreign companies hold the rest.
