Egypt building 18 logistics, commercial zones with $1.61bln investments

The Egyptian Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade said the construction of 18 logistics and commercial zones is currently underway with investments up to EGP 39.76 billion, Akhbar El-Yom reported.

These projects cover 14 governorates and provide about 250,000 direct and indirect job opportunities.

In 2022, two logistics zones were inaugurated in Gharbia and Beheira governorates at a cost of EGP 8 billion and EGP 3 billion, respectively.

The ministry further noted that a total of 5 chain stores are being completed in Cairo, Giza, and Qalyubia governorates.
