Egypt releases 145K tons of soybeans, corn for poultry fodder industry
Egypt released 145,00 tons of soybeans and corn required for pourtly fodder, in cooperation with the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), said Al-Sayyed Al Qusseir, the Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, on Sunday in a statement.
“Over the past week, 145,000 tons of corn and soybeans were released, worth about $70 million,” he said.
He explained that the release included 99,000 tons of corn, at about $36 million, and about 46,000 tons of soybeans, at a value of about $32 million, as well as feed additives at about $2 million.
