Egypt's exports of gold, jewelry, precious stones increase by 47%
Egypt's exports of gold, jewelry and precious stones increased by 47% during the first 10 months of 2022, to reach $1.326 billion, compared to $901 million during the same period of 2021, according to a report by the Building Materials Export Council.
Egypt exported gold, jewelry and precious stones to 37 countries during the first 10 months of this year, and Canada controlled 50.2% of Egypt's total exports of gold, jewelry and precious stones, at a value of $666 million. The United Arab Emirates acquired 49.5% of Egypt's exports of gold, jewelry and precious stones, at a value of $656 million.
Egyptian gold and precious stones exports to Turkey rose to $3 million during the period from “January-October 2022,” compared to $1 million during the same period from 2021, with a growth of 73%.
