Agriculture expert suggests solution to shortage in animal feed in Egypt
Agricultural Expert at the Horticulture Research Institute Ayman Abdel Aal recommended expanding the agriculture of corn on reclaimed lands in New Delta, Toshki, East Owinat, Sinai, New Valley, Western Menya, and Matrouh's Maghara in order to face the shortage in animal feed.
Abdel Aal pointed out that Egypt imports around 10 million tons of wheat, 11 million tons of yellow corn, and four million tons of soybean per annum. What's more, the country imports 97 percent of its needs of cooking oil.
