SCZone looks forward to more cooperation with China in coming period
Walid Gamal El-Din, head of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) said that the coming period will witness more cooperation with Chinese side.
He pointed out during his participation in the Egyptian-Chinese Economic and Investment Forum, which is organized by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Egypt; to the presence of Chinese investments from major companies in the Chinese TEDA region within the Sokhna industrial zone.
He added that the SCZOne is enjoying a distinguished strategic location, which in turn contributes to the importance of its presence within the Belt and Road initiative, one of the links of economic and trade relations between Egypt and China.
Gamal El-Din affirmed his aspiration for more cooperation with the Chinese side in various fields, to represent a greater breakthrough for China from Egypt towards the African markets and neighboring countries, through the ports and industrial zones of the zone.
"Just as the past period witnessed cooperation between the two sides, 15 years ago, that helped overcome various global crises at the present time, the coming period will witness an upcoming promotional visit to China during the first half of 2023 to discuss ways of cooperation and expansion of business with Chinese companies, as it is a partnership that has proven successful over the years," he concluded.
