Supply Minister: Egypt Imports more than 60% of Food Needs
Ali Al-Moselhi, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, confirmed that we import more than 60% of our food, pointing out that there is an increase in the price of raw materials imported from abroad.
Al-Moselhi said, during the plenary session of the House of Representatives that It is difficult to write the price of the product on all commodities, indicating that the printing machines for each product are programmed in a specific way.
The Minister of Supply revealed efforts to control the markets through the Consumer Protection Agency and the Supply Investigations, pointing out that the government resorted to pricing the price of rice to control the movement of markets and not to manipulate prices.
