Egypt rehabilitates 6 slum areas dwelled by 500K citizens in Alexandria
Governor of Alexandria Mohamed al-Sharif declared Sunday that the rehabilitation of slum areas El Dekheila Al Gabaleya, Southern Asafra, and Mohsen Al Kobri is completed by 98 percent, while the progress rate in Southern Sidi Beshr, Dana wa Al Mahrousa, and New Hadra is 95 percent.
The governor explained that the works implemented there include the renovation of infrastructure, introduction of water and wastewater plants, roads, and street lighting, underlining that the project serves the 500,000 dwelling those areas.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi inaugurated in December of Admiral Fouad Abou Zikry Axis (formerly known as El Tameer Axis) which extends for 35 km from its intersection with Cairo-Alexandria road until Sidi Krir-Borg el Arab Airport road with nine lanes in each direction.
The inaugurated projects included Misr Train Station in Alexandria after its renovation and a project to upgrade the railway signaling system on the Cairo/Alexandria railway line.
