Egypt to receive bids for 10th of Ramadan’s port, logistic center construction in April
Qualified consortia could submit their technical and financial offers for the construction of a dry port and logistic center in the 10th of Ramadan starting April 30th, Director PPP Central Unit at the Ministry of Finance Atter Hannoura told Al Borsa News on January 18th.
The competing alliances are Elsewedy Electric and CMA CGM France, Bolloré Logistics and Meridiam, and Orascom Construction and AD Ports Group, in addition to a consortium led by Italy’s MSC.
The port and the logistic center will be built on an area of 250,000 feddans.
Previous estimates of the cost of constructing the port amounted to about EGP 3.5 billion, but Hannoura said that the cost would vary due to exchange rate volatility.
