Gov’t to announce soon plan of listing 20 companies on Bourse
Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli revealed on Wednesday that the government will announce soon its plan of listing more than 20 companies on the Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX).
In a press release, the cabinet said the premier added that the plan will be announced after the next cabinet’s meeting.
This came after a cabinet meeting that aimed to review a number of economic files.
The government is holding several meetings in coordination with the authorities concerned to discuss this issue, the premier said, adding that other meetings will be held next week in the presence of the ministers concerned and the Central Bank of Egypt.
He added that 20 companies will be offered for the first time in the bourse or for strategic investors, noting that the main goal is to engage citizens and private sector in the development process as well as participating in management of part of the public institutions.
