EU energy commissioner to arrive in Egypt on Monday

EU Energy Commissioner Kadri Simson will visit Egypt on Monday, to discuss the global energy security situation with partners.

During her visit, Simson will meet with Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tariq Al-Mulla, and Israeli Energy Minister Israel Katz, to promote the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that was signed, in June last year, European Union (EU) embassy in Cairo stated in a statment.

Moreover, EU Commissioner will also participate in Egypt International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (EGYPS 2023), under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

The event brings together government representatives and energy industry leaders from Africa and the Mediterranean region; To discuss the energy transition.
