Sczone discusses with Japanese companies production of energy from waste
Head of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) Walid Gamal El-Din presented during a meeting of the Japanese-Egyptian Business Council, the most important competitive advantages of thre zone, which makes it an important hub on the map of industry and international trade.
This came in the presence of executive advisor John Karup.
The conversation also touched on the importance of cooperation with the Japanese side in a number of targeted sectors in the economic zone, according to a press release.
The delegation of the economic zone with a number of officials of MUFG Bank, one of the largest Japanese banks, which is the banking services arm for individuals, companies and investment of MUFJ Financial Holding Group.
The meeting with Masamichi Kono, the chief official of MUFG witnessed an exchange of visions on the need to discuss ways and paths of supporting the financial institution for direct Japanese investments in the fields of energy, basic utilities, manufacturing fields, transfer of technical knowledge and agreement on these points within the framework of signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two parties in the near future.
A meeting was also held with Hiroyuki Tsubai, Chairman of Itochu, who confirmed that the meeting represents a strategic deepening of the historical commercial and economic relationship of the group in the Middle East, especially in Egypt, through dealing with the Mansour Group, as a commercial agent for the group's construction equipment over the past decades.
