Egypt and USAID discuss tourism cooperation
Ahmed Issa, the Egypt Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, greeted Leslie Reed, the Director of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) task in Egypt along with her attending delegation, for deliberating collaboration in the areas of tourism and antiquities.
Minister Issa commended the hard work done by USAID in association with Egypt in several expansion projects in tourism, conserving antiquities and tradition as well as increasing and nurturing the competence of tourism and archaeological places.
In the course of the conference, the minister also talked about the nationwide plan for tourism expansion in Egypt. He said that with this strategy, the Egyptian ministry aims to attain an upsurge in the number of inward tourism to Egypt with development rates going from 25% to 30% yearly.
