Egypt ready to develop relations with Denmark
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry reiterated on Friday Egypt’s readiness to develop relations with Denmark in the political, economic, cultural and parliamentary domains.
Shoukry made the remarks during a meeting with his Danish counterpart Lars Rasmussen on the sidelines of the eighth edition of the Raisina Dialogue, currently held in New Delhi.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said Shoukry congratulated Rasmussen for assuming the foreign portfolio, saying there are promising spheres of cooperation between Egypt and Denmark.
He expressed appreciation for Denmark’s hosting of the ministerial climate meeting last year.
The two sides discussed the outcome of the latest climate summit, repercussions of Ukrainian-Russian conflict, Denmark’s bid for UN Security Council membership and the projected visit of the Danish premier to Egypt.
