Abu Dhabi-based Rotana plans to open six hotels in Egypt
Rotana Hotel is planning to open six hotels in Egypt, with the launch of Luxor Rotana by the end of 2023, the Abu Dhabi-based hotel management company said in a statement.
The other properties in New Cairo and North Coast will open in 2024.
The company will make its foray into the Algerian market with the launch of Azure Rotana Resort & Spa in Oran, slated to open next quarter.
According to the statement, Rotana has signed a management agreement for Bloom Arjaan by Rotana in Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Island. In addition, it has signed an initial deal for a five-star resort in the West African nation of Benin.
The company aims to operate around 30 Edge by Rotana properties in the region by 2027, with recent openings of two new Edge by Rotana-managed hotels in Arabian Park and Damac Hills 2 in Dubai.
Currently, Rotana operates 72 hotels in the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe and Turkey, including 36 hotels in the UAE.
