Air Cairo and SunExpress extend cooperation for another three years

Air Cairo, the subsidiary of Egypt Air, and SunExpress, a joint venture of Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa, announce the extension of their existing partnership.

At the world's largest tourism trade fair ITB in Berlin, both airlines signed a letter of intent to extend their distribution partnership for a further three years, with the aim of further expanding their cooperation and optimising their joint customer care. The new letter of intent is an addition to an existing overarching three-year agreement signed earlier in 2023.

The cooperation has already proven successful with distribution partners and passengers: In May 2021, the first flights were offered between the resort of Hurghada and various departure airports in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Two years later, there will then be over 87 weekly direct flights from fifteen airports in the DACH region to the Red Sea resorts of Hurghada, Marsa Alam and Sharm El Sheikh in the coming summer season.
