CAPMAS: Egyp's Exports to Turkey Surge 32.3%
Data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) revealed that the value of Egyptian exports to Turkey increased to $4 billion in 2022, compared to $3 billion, year-on-year, an increase of 32.3%.
While the value of Egyptian imports from Turkey amounted to $3.72 billion in 2022, compared to $3.74 billion in 2021, a decrease of 0.7%.
CAPMAS indicated that the value of trade exchange between Egypt and Turkey increased to $7.7 billion in 2022, compared to $6.7 billion, year-on-year, an increase of 14%.
Regarding the ten most important commodity groups that Egypt exported to Turkey in 2022, the statistics agency indicated that fuel, mineral oils and their distillation products came first with a value of $1.7 billion.
Then plastics and their manufactures with a value of $390.5 million, inorganic chemical products with a value of $259 million, then synthetic or synthetic fibers with a value of $194.4 million.
