Agriculture Min. Pumps more Commodities at Reduced Prices during Ramadan

The Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation announced the maximum state for all its service sectors, throughout the month of Ramadan, in implementation of the assignments of El Sayed El Quseir, Minister of Agriculture, to contribute to alleviating the burden on citizens during the holy month.

El Quseir said that this also comes within the framework of the directives of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and the government’s efforts to provide food commodities to citizens at reduced prices and to confront the rise in prices, according to the ministry’s statement today, Friday.

The minister directed the ministry’s leaders, officials of the production agencies and outlets in the ministry, to continue providing goods to citizens at reduced prices, through the ministry’s outlets, which number 243 fixed outlets spread in all governorates, in addition to 32 mobile outlets that roam cities, centers, public squares, villages and remote areas, to reduce the burden. on the shoulders of its inhabitants.

He also stressed the pumping of more various commodities and products, such as local meat, poultry, table eggs, legumes, rice, food processing products, dates, yamish, and dairy products, into these outlets, with high quality and appropriate prices that are less than those in the market, with the aim of Reducing the chain of intermediaries and the greed of merchants, and easing the burden on citizens, especially with the increased demand for commodities and foodstuffs during the holy month.

He instructed the General Authority for Veterinary Services and the directorates of veterinary medicine in the governorates to intensify inspection operations and pass through markets, shops, outlets for selling and trading meat and its products, as well as restaurants, in coordination with the concerned authorities to control any violations, as well as ensure the safety of products and their suitability for human use.
