Ministry of Electricity details measures to stop LE 2B in losses to theft

The Ministry of Electricity installs code meters, gives judicial arrest power for its officers, and outsources the task of recording meter readings to eliminate yearly L.E.2 billion in losses to electricity theft.

One of the most effective measures to reduce theft is that the ministry outsources the recording of prepaid electricity meters to a company called Shuaa to ensure that the meter is not tampered with, Minister of Electricity Mohamed Shaker told Egypt Today Tuesday.
