Egypt charting a plan for tourism growth
The Egyptian government is planning a route mapfor propelling tourism growth, said the Egypt minister of tourism, Ahmed Eissa.The ministeremphasized on the significance of the nationwide plan to grow tourism, which is an integral part of the economy in Egypt.
In this regard, Eissa underlined the upsurge in the number of flights to and from Egypt, as an attribute of the plan to increase the amount of visitors. He requested empowering Egyptian tourism businesses, operators and guides among other stakeholders in the segment.
Minister Eissasaid earlier this month that Egypt expects to witness 15 million visitors this year, marking a year-on-year growth of 28 percent. He also explained that the arrival of tourists in January and February amplified by 35 percent.
