The Egyptian Ministry of Transport confirmed that it has started the manufacture process of the express electric train, which is scheduled to operate in Egypt, with a length of approximately 2000 km, on 3 lines linking all Egyptian cities.
According to the latest global technology systems, the Ministry of Transport stated that express trains and regional trains of the fast electric train network are manufactured inside the Siemens company's factory in Krefeld, Germany, and the quantitative production of trains for Egypt is now taking place.
The new system of the fast electric train network in Egypt consists of 3 main lines with a length of 2,000 km, where the first line is a line similar to the Suez Canal in its strategic importance, and will link the city of Ain Sukhna on the Red Sea with the cities of Alexandria, El Alamein and Matrouh on the Mediterranean, with a length of 660 km.
