Egypt, Indonesia mull inking MoU for expertise-sharing
Head of the General Authority for Healthcare (GAH) Ahmed al-Sobky and a delegation from Indonesia’s Cabinet secretariat and social health insurance authority reviewed ways to promote cooperation in the healthcare industry.
During a meeting with the Indonesian delegation on Sunday, Sobky, who is also general supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance (UHI) Project, underscored the importance of bolstering cooperation to share expertise in various healthcare domains, especially digital transformation and innovative healthcare services.
He said the meeting covered the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to share knowledge and expertise in the above-mentioned areas, and boosting cooperation for offering quality medical services to Indonesian expats at GAH-affiliated hospitals with their advanced medical and non-medical supplies, and highly efficient medical cadres.
This cooperation should contribute promoting Egypt’s competitive advantages in the therapeutic tourism industry, under the umbrella of a project dubbed “We Care for You in Egypt,” added the GAH chief.
