Egypt-Austria Trade Exchange Surge 23%
Ahmed Samir, Minister of Trade and Industry said that the volume of trade exchange between the two countries reached about $339.5 million last year, compared to about $275.7 million in 2021, achieving an increase of 23%.
The minister explained that the Austrian investments in Egypt include 173 projects in the fields of industry, services, tourism, construction, finance, agriculture, communications and information technology.
The minister said that the meeting dealt with preparations for holding a joint Egyptian-Austrian business forum in Egypt at the end of this month
Samir indicated that the coming period will witness more coordination between the ministry and the Austrian Chamber of Commerce to provide reliable information to the Austrian business community on investment opportunities and the economic laws and legislations applied in Egypt.
