Egypt holds World Urban Forum in November 2024

Selecting Egypt to organize the World Urban Forum culminates several successes in holding international events, said the prime minister on Sunday.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said the 12th session of the World Urban Forum will be organized in November 2024 in Cairo.

The Egyptian New Urban Communities Authority had received the Scroll of Honor award from the United Nations Human Settlements Program in the sector of sustainable urbanization in 2021. 

The selection also comes after the tangible success of hosting the Cop27 in Sharm El-Sheikh in 2022, Madbouly said.
